Ballet Master/Mistress Position
The Ballet Master/Mistress Position with Trey McIntyre Project will be one in which a high level of professionalism and reliability will be paramount. Herein also referenced as the BM, he/she will be relied upon to manage multiple responsibilities within the company at the direction of the Artistic Director in addition to receiving requests for assistance from multiple levels within the organization. This position will be one that will be relied upon as an integral part of the TMP operations as the company prepares for and performs at venues world wide.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ballet Master/Mistress
• Assists in rehearsal with Artistic Director in the creation of new work
• Assists in staging and coaching work from existing repertoires
• Teaches company class
• Handles scheduling, managing, and dancer hiring
• Has an intimate role in TMP outreach activities
• Assists Artistic Director in numerous and various artistic duties, including the handling of personnel issues as they relate to the artistic staff
• Understands that all positional duties will follow the direction of the Artistic Director
Trey McIntyre Project, Ltd. will rely on the Ballet Master/Mistress to manage and facilitate transactions in the above listed categories and beyond. The BM will encounter multi-faceted projects during the scope of his/her employment with TMP. BM will report directly to the Artistic Director of TMP, and will work in conjunction with all other TMP personnel.
Internship: Asst. to Artistic Director
Primary focus: Graphic, production, administrative and artistic – Assistant to the Artistic Director
Who will mentor the intern? Trey McIntyre, Artistic Director
General Items: 10-15 hours/week, unpaid, 6-month internship (May – November) for credit
Intern will work with the Artistic Director of Trey McIntyre Project in implementing artistic projects of the company in the coming year, particularly assisting with the graphic output of the company, including print materials, video production, webcasting, and website maintenance. The intern will assist the Artistic Director with his scheduling and booking travel arrangements, as well as assist in administrative duties such as auditioning and communicating with dancers, communicating with designers and other collaborators, as well as establishing projects and relationships within the Boise community. This intern will assist in most activities the Artistic Director takes part in. The intern will be exposed to many techniques used for developing resources at a national non-profit organization.
This program provides an excellent opportunity for interns to gain direct experience with the workings of a national nonprofit environmental organization, develop expertise in the arts, and gain valuable office skills and experience. The open environment at Trey McIntyre Project will ensure that interns have an opportunity to interact with other staff members at all levels. Our office is a hard-working yet friendly place. Interns will also find excellent opportunities for networking within the arts community at large.
Desired Qualifications: Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash; Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation; A great instinct for creative thinking and problem solving; Ability to work flexibly with a collaborative team of staff; A passion for the arts.
Internship: Asst. to Executive Director
Primary focus: Production and Artistic – Assistant to the Executive Director
Who will mentor the intern? John Michael Schert, Executive Director
General Items: 10-15 hours/week, unpaid, 6-month internship (May – November) for credit
Intern will work with the Executive Director of Trey McIntyre Project in crafting and implementing schedules and opportunities for the company in the coming year, particularly researching organizations, individuals, and connections within the Idaho and national business and arts communities. The intern will assist the Executive Director with his scheduling and booking travel arrangements, as well as “shadow” him to various meetings with local businesses, arts organizations and patrons, and maintain his calendar of events. This intern will assist in all activities the Executive Director takes part in, including: development relations, special events planning, special events, donor correspondence, contractor negotiations, and “networking” opportunities. The intern will be exposed to many techniques used for developing resources at a national non-profit organization.

Internship: Development and Marketing
Primary focus: Development and Marketing
Who will mentor the intern? Liz Edrich, Development Director
General Items: 10-15 hours/week, unpaid, 6-month internship (May – November) volunteer or for credit
Interns will work with development staff on the following projects: researching and organizing information regarding philanthropic foundations, coordinating mailings to donors, organizing and preparing for special events, tracking pledges, gifts, grants, and donor acknowledgement; helping market Trey McIntyre Project to the public and businesses, and gaining experience in the foundation grant proposal process. The intern will be exposed to many techniques used for developing resources at a non-profit organization.
